The Punisher: No Mercy
“The Punisher: No mercy” is yet another first person shooter game, exclusive to Playstation Network (PSN) running on Unreal engine. This very first sentence is usually enough to prevent me from buying a game especially when there is no demo to try it out. I would at least wait till Mike gets it first BUT since he is on vacation and I figured there must be other people wondering about it I bought it and I must say I really liked it!
I generally have no interest in playing yet-another-blahblah games especially in First person shooter genre with such saturated market but I must say I enjoyed playing this one and I think it is well worth the price. I believe its aggressive AI made the difference. I’ll leave the judgement to you.
Wait! All I’ve written so far was before I played the online multiplayer game and is valid only for the story mode. Online multiplayer experience in the other hand was horrible! It took close to 5 minutes to find a rooms which is not full and even after that the game was running super slow, dropping frames with so many connection issues. (I should add that I have no problem with any other game.)
So for me it’s a “Yes” as a single player game but a big “No” as an online multiplayer game till they resolve the issues ’cause it has the potential to be a fun game.
