Red Faction Guerrilla
If you haven’t downloaded the Red Faction Guerrilla’s playable demo yet, you’d better have an excuse as strong as you don’t have a compatible console! It’s simply awesome! I know I’ve said I don’t like intense and fraustrating games before but this one is different! It’s definitely not one of those “yet another third person shooter” games. First of all I should say I loved how you can practicly destroy almost anything you see in the game and it adds more fun when you can do it in such details, brick by brick using the sledgehammer you have in hand. After minutes of playing you find that sledgehammer is pretty handy! You can open your way to get inside buildings, get upgrade points by destroying EDF (Earth Defence Force) owned properties and smash a wall over hiding enemy’s head!
The game takes place in Mars and you’ll be given objectives to finish. What I found interesting in the demo was that during my first objective I had the choice to either find the route with the least conflict or open my way by fighting and destruction! I’ve tried both ways! You’ll see and decide which one you prefer. Based on this demo, I believe it is worth buying unless the full game ends up being really short and online gameplay not so good, which in that case it’s still definitely worth renting. The good thing is, it’s gonna be out in a week from now so you don’t have to wait!
