Beatles Rock Band: Beatles tunes are great to listen to, but I just don’t think they’ll be that fun to play. This game is for REAL hardcode Beatle fans. Then they brought out Yoko Ono which could only piss off hardcore Beatle fans. Then they actually brought out the Paul and Ringo!!!!! But they said absolutely nothing, it was really awkward. I wonder how much they got paid to come out and embarrass Harmonix and MS.
Forza 3: I’m not a racing fan and don’t really care for this title.
Shadow Complex, which is a new exclusive Xbox game from Epic. This looks WICKED. It uses 3d graphics with the unreal 3 engine… but it plays like a metroidvania!!! Hopefully this inspires a new console 2d Metroid and Castlevania.
Alan wake: I was SOOOO excited for this game. It was supposed to be a revival of the survival horror genre… but this gameplay footage really let me down. It looks like it’s going to be another Silent Hill \ Alone in the Dark clone. I don’t see anything really special to me.
Why are there zombies in Crackdown 2??
Halo 3 ODST. I don’t really care for a halo game without Master Chief.

MS is upgrading the video download service. Everything is going to be in full 1080 resolution and there are no download times….. ok, I’m calling shenanigans on this! I don’t believe that they could possibly stream a full 1080 movie! Especially since so many users are still on ISDN. I’ll believe this when I see it.
Splinter Cell Conviction, wow I forgot about this game. When was it announced, like 3 years ago? It looks interesting though.
Final Fantasy 13 being shown running on the 360. Still won’t be released until 2010 though, so along time to wait for that. Looks like the fighting engine has been retooled from FF12, which is great as I hate that MMO style combat in a single player game.
MGS Rising was announced, a new Metal Gear game staring Raiden. It looks wicked. They didn’t mention PS3 but it’s not exclusive. It’s going to be available for PS3 and 360.
Project Natal shown, which is Microsoft’s hands free, motion sensor, controller. This thing is pretty neat. I don’t think it will be that great for gaming, but the technology itself is very interesting. It would work wicked for smaller applications and casual games on the 360 and I could see MS including the technology in future versions of windows to allow you to control your pc in a similar manner. An actual demonstration would have been nice; all they showed was a trailer and a video of a tech demo from lionhead. I’m interested to see some more details on this.
All in all, it was a good showing. Some more games would have been great, they moving away from last years plan of showing stuff to be released this year. All the good stuff seems like it’s coming out spring 2010.
