.detuned is the next interactive art game released on PSN. The game sells for $2.99 and can use the music you have on your hard drive.

The basic premise if that you have a single scene and you can apply all kinds of effects and some basic movement to it in order to play along with the music. The scene is a room with some minor decorations and a guy sitting in a chair in the middle of the room.

The game stars off with a demo mode you can watch, or you can switch to a play mode that allows you to move the character or change his appearance or apply various effects to the scene.

You can also change the background music to use a file from your system.

The various effects can be seen in the video above. You can put together combos by using several effects at once, but you can only chain together specific effects. For example, you can’t move your character around the chair while the cyberspace filter is on.

There are several trophies you can get by performing certain effects and combos listed in the menu, that’s about the only real set of goals in the game.

The game is much less impressive than the previous interactive art title “Linger in Shadows”. Even for the price it’s very limited, and there’s no features to make anyone want to spend more that 10-15 minutes with it.

    Whats the point in this game? Can you even switch the guy to a female? The guy looks like hes in a torture room. When hes moving on the chair it looks as if hes being electricuted. If the PSN has a virtual world like PS Home, the could do better with this game.
